WHAT IS LEMON CLUB?
Lemon Club originated after Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. The foundation was founded by Alex Scott, who held her first childhood cancer fundraiser at four years old and made it her mission to cure childhood cancer. By the time of her death in 2004, she raised $1 million and inspired a legacy of hope. Bergen Tech’s Lemon Club carries on her legacy by spreading awareness about childhood cancer and informing others about the lack of funding and support childhood cancer research receives. At the moment, we are a virtual club, and we aim to have these crucial conversations online and through our social media. HOW YOU CAN RAISE AWARENESS
Currently, Lemon Club is unable to hold fundraisers due to the coronavirus. However, through our social media and donations from the foundation’s website, we will still be able to raise awareness for the foundation and inspire others to help children like Alex and many other patients. If anyone is interested in helping out/joining the club, you can email the club’s president, Haley Morales. @halmor21@bergen.org.
